I am constantly asked about the negative postings UFindUs gets on theorangepages.com and how even from an outsiders point of view the so called “Team” that respond to the postings is a: totally unprofessional in how they talk about issues raised, and b: how they actually seem to do their best to try to whip people up into a frenzy, very often over fairly minor things.
We feel their attitude towards UFindUs has developed around June 2005 when he informed us of his objection to our trademark being registered due to the “find us” element of the name and the “swoosh” device which we use to surround the UFindUs name. Both of which he felt were too similar to his own.
It’s a shame that they obviously can’t get over it as at the end of the day there is enough business for everyone. Its also a shame that they wont let us post replies on their Orange Pages site either, they claim to campaign for fairness in business practices but I somehow think they have a lot to learn in that respect.

Your claim that there was a "Court Judgement is absolutely false, and libelous. There has never been any court action although this was considered. Point of fact we were advised that as it would have been very difficult to prove 'passing off' due to the fact we use many logo styles rather than just one static one, we did not bother to pursue you; our choice.
This just goes to show how low ufindus.com are prepared to stoop in trying to discredit a company who dares stand up against them and their atrocious methods.
It was never Ufindus -v- The Orange Pages, as we held nothing personal against Ufindus, we merely responded to unsolicited requests for help. It must have hurt ufindus for them to try and defend by attacking but here's a message for you all at Ufindus, if you think you can intimidate us with slanderous lies, you had better think again.
Do you really want to make this a fight, take us to Court, we will happily defend our actions as we have NOT once posted a claim in bad faith, and we certainly haven't lied, we've posted comments AFTER checking their legitimacy.
We are seeking legal advice on the posting of libelous comments by you with a view to taking action against you in the Courts.
We sincerely hope we've made the point clear, there has never been malice, we don't like the way many of your staff have conned people, (we have the evidence to prove it), and as people came to us complaining because they thought you were us! Because we recieved so many complaints we decided to do something about it and offer free legal advice. We then also decided that the prices you charged for the level of service were extortionate, certainly the invoices we've seen evidence this.
What better way to help people who have already spent money a lot of them can ill afford? (we can evidence this also) but to provide them with a far better service at a fraction of the cost. Here's a comparison:
You give:
Hosting, or a link on your directory to the owners site, you provide a two page template with very limited content, a domain name, and at a price your fameous 'rapidrank', or have you stopped that as it only records hits up to 30,000 a YEAR! I'm only quoting your terms. You do provide softare, or did, that allows the person to go online and edit the template, but as it is so limited, ONE main table! There is not much you can do to it. All this for what we have worked out to be on average up to and sometimes past, £200 setup fee, then a monthly payment of £29.95 plus vat! This is about £600 per year approx! (based on customer who have sent their invoices to us.)
We provide:
A complete website design to suit the customers needs with up to ten pages. Full hosting, with access to your own cPanel where you can install multiple scripts, including access to server generated statistics, and more. Up to 5 e-mail address, domain name, unique IP address, 24/7 customer support for upgrades, graphic changes, logo identity, etc. We provide fully w3c templates where possible to help with SEO. We provide full SEO support with our staff constantly monitoring the submission status of a site. A human version of your software!
All this for approx one fifth the cost you charge at present. About £100 a year (again we are only going by the invoices we've seen, and we've seen a lot!). So, people can compare yours with ours, we don't pretend that we will get them high rankings, we tell people the truth. We don't have clauses in our terms that are restrictive, they are in line with the unfair contract terms act 2000, are yours? We don't pretend to be the best or biggest directory on the planet or even in the UK, we're not!
What we are though, is a team, yes, a 'TEAM' of dedicated people from all quarters of the planet working together to provide a service second to none. If this offends you then simply drop your prices, change your terms to equal ones, and you should go on to conquer the World. As for us, well we are going to try our hardest to get as many customers as we can, but never by making up lies about you or anyone else for that matter. If your customers, both existing and potential want to come with us, GREAT, if they want to go with you, that's their choice, we won't do anything to stop them, freedom of choice and all that.
There you go, the TRUTH. The only vicious party in this is you UFINDUS, you find one time where we have said anything but the truth about you, even though the truth clearly hurts. And do you know, we never printed one single libelous remark!!
