Following on from the comment I posted yesterday I would like to reconfirm my disappointment with theorangepages.com as they still haven’t found time to moderate my posting from last week which was in response to a comment posted by a UFindUs customer.
Stuart Conway wrote to complain that he couldn’t seem to “get rid” of UFindUs and that we were threatening him with bailiffs for non payment.
This adds weight to the fact that you shouldn’t always take at face value everything that is read on blogging sites or indeed in the newspapers, especially when you then read my, as yet, unpublished response.
“I am writing in response to Stuart Conway’s comment from the 6th November 2006. Stuart did have an opportunity to discuss his case with one of our agents in the Customer Accounts Team and on back of this discussion an agreement was reached on the amount of arrears that was paid. The fact Stuart’s posting was made on 6th November and implies that we (UFindUs) are still pursuing the matter by phone and through bailiffs is misleading as Stuart paid his account on 18th October 2006 and to my knowledge no further contact has been made in respect of the account arrears.
Should this not be the case then I am more than willing to discus the matter with Stuart personally in order that I can offer my assurance this matter is now closed.”
I have today tried to contact Stuart by phone and hope to be able to speak to him in person over this matter.
