It’s often easy to forget that UFindUs is a major part of the Iomart Group PLC, who, today announced that they have acquired a controlling stake in a data centre business that means we now have one of the largest carrier neutral facilities in Europe.
This type of facility is to put it simply, the kind of place where banks and many other large organisations host their on-line facilities in a secure and fireproofed environment.
The new data centres are based in Central London, Nottingham, Leeds, Glasgow and Leicester. This is a fantastic coup for the Iomart Group and has kept the directors very busy over the last few weeks. All UFindUs platforms will be moved to the new high performance data centres during the next calendar year.
